A few weeks ago I hosted an English themed tea party. I made everything from scratch, in miniature form. The room was decked out in bunting and flags bearing the Union Jack, pink carnations and candles, and my much loved mismatched tea set.
It was a lovely day, spent talking and eating, without timelines or schedules or deadlines. It is easy to fall into the habit of putting your self-care last, there are only so many hours in the day.
My self-care differs as the seasons change. As it becomes colder (finally!) I relax with knitting, quilting, and evenings snuggled up with a good book. This weekend I may get into the garden, and the boys have requested brownies, which I am only too happy to make.
What will your self-care look like this weekend?
