I love to read the dedication in the front of a book, they are always so interesting, and insightful.
One book I own is dedicated to “Edward Cullen…because Edward” which I think is a humorous if not a bit sad. Was there no one else in the authors life who inspired or helped? Were there too many, did they take the fun way out?
There are those that are straight to the point “For Bill”, and those that go on for several pages, thanking everyone from agents and publishers to high school teachers and neighbours.
No matter the length, I find them fascinating!
My dedication for each book is essentially the same, a love letter to the two people who have changed my life, who have always supported me unquestioningly. I cannot wait to see their names in the front of my books.
