Way back at the start of April (you know, twelve years ago!), I entered one of my novels into the Valerie Parv Award, and was feeling pretty pleased with myself for getting an entry in.
Then on Saturday I was looking through some of my yet finished manuscripts, and one in particular caught my attention. Intending to simply scroll through, I was mesmerised, reading every word. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, and on Sunday I rose and added a further 9860 words to it. I spent the afternoon editing it, and just before dinner I submitted it as a second entry into the Valerie Parv Award.
Phew! Just in time, as entries closed at midnight.
I am so excited about this one, more so than my first entry actually, so it will be interesting to see what sort of feedback I receive, due in June.
