Today I thought that I would answer the reader profile questions…
- How long have you been a reader? 30+ years.
- What was the very first book you remember reading? A Babysitters Club book. I loved their pastel coloured covers, and how grown up and cool they were. I used to think that kids in America had it made, then I became an adult and realised that was just a fallacy.
- What book had the biggest impact on your life? The Family Nobody Wanted by Helen Doss. It was one of the reasons that I became a foster mum. I would also adopt if I were allowed, but in the state that I live in, a single woman cannot adopt a child without there being extreme circumstances.
- Your favourite book? Impossible to choose.
- What is your favourite genre? Romance.
- Your go to reading snack? A cup of coffee or a glass of punch.
- Favourite place to read? Lounge room.
- One book you want turned into a movie? I’ve Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella.
- One book you want a sequel for? All of the books that I have truly loved already have sequels, or they don’t require one.
- Do you own any book themed items (jewellery, prints, quilts etc)? Yes.
- How many books do you own? Over 5128.
- Do you prefer paperback or eBooks? Paperback for the smell, eBooks for the space.
- Do you let people borrow your books? Only my dearest friends.
- Favourite place to buy books? Amazon.
- Ever called in sick to work so you could stay home and finish a book? Yes.
- Oldest book you own? The Boy With The Drum which is over 40 years old.
- How many books on your TBR (to be read) pile? 0.
- Do you have a book character crush? Of course! Currently crushing on the flying doctors featured in my current manuscript.
- Do you re-read your books? Of course! If I have loved them, they get kept and re-read, if I didn’t finish them or was bored, then they get donated to a local charity for someone else to discover.
- If you could only have three books to read for the rest of your life, what would they be? Goddess of Spring by PC Cast, The Birds and the Bees by Milly Johnson, and The Family Nobody Wanted by Helen Doss.
I admire the 0 on your TBR pile.
Great read. Totally with you on choosing favourites – impossible – and also letting people borrow books! Thanks for sharing.
